fading away

my red streaks are fading away! they're brownish now...

That was taken at commencement two days ago :D It's me and Celina!
I felt overdressed because I was wearing this pretty dress and a lot of people were just wearing casual clothes and jeans and shorts...
Oh well =/
Hmm... I wonder if I have a picture where you can see my whole dress... found one!

me and mingbo

That one's of me and Mingbo/Joey and it's the only picture where you can see my whole dress :P The back of the dress is really pretty too! There's a ribbon :) My mom bought me this dress in Hong Kong last year. It's my second time wearing it :D (see this post)

And the pretty necklace is from my mom's jewelry company! Please visit :)

Shall I post more pictures? Of my pretty gown? Why yes, I shall.

me and mommy

My mommyyy ♥ And that diploma I'm holding is a fake =_=;
We get our actual one on friday (tmr!) with our report card >_<
I'm worried about my marks because my exams were ALL pretty shitty...
But at least I'm finished high school! Outta there foreverrrrr :D
(unless ohshitihavetorepeatbecausemyoffergetswithdrawn) but lets not dwell on that =/

Back on topic xP
We only had a gown! We didn't even have a collar... nor a hat!
Talk about plain =_= But the ceremony was good. The Trustee's speech was soooo touching; I really wanted to cry but I couldnt because of my makeup... so I had to fan myself to hold my tears ;_;
And the symphonic band was amazinggg! And Paula Gil is amazing! She has the highest grades... with an average of 98.6% WTF?!
Her parents MUST be super duper proud!

Anyway... here's our beautiful cake (half of it is still in the fridge =9):

sesame cake

Sesame cake! It looks like our family's always looking for excuses to buy cake xD I'm gonna go eat some later~

I think I should wrap this up now...
I'll try to get all the pages of the site up and running soooon, okay? ANNNNND affie applications are open, please apply! smile

VOGUE `09

Thursday, May 28th was prom dayyy!!
It was a rainy day thoughhh sad
butbutbut, it was still fun smile
I got my hair donee at this salon across the street from my house (so lucky, eh?) and my makeup done by my lovely mommy ♥
Here's a closeupppp:

but it was really rushedddd because i had a project due that day and my partner did NOT send it to me (i had to print, edit, and put it together) till the last minute! First she said that she'll send it at 8am, then 9am, then 10:30am, then 12am. SO, I went to check my inbox at 12:30am (cause i knew she was gonna be late again >_>) AND IT STILL WASN'T THERE! She finally sent it at 12:45, asking me to make a title page and a table of contents (which was really hard because she sent me THREE freaking separate documents). GEEZ. My hair appointment was at 2pm, so I only had an HOUR to put that shit together, run to Staples to get it binded, AND hand it in to my teacher?! Well, I obviously could not do all that in an hour... but luckily I asked my friend Richard to get it binded and hand it in :D

My point is, because of my PARTNER, i was unable to get prepared for prom until the last minute. I started my hair at 2:15, ended at 3:15, which left only 2.5 hours to do everything else (nails, facial, makeup, dress, jewelry). Because of all the rush, I completely forgot about UNIVERSITIES! McMaster University's residence application deadline was THAT DAY AT 4pm. By the time I remembered this, it was already 4:30pm... fuck, right? So now I'm on the waiting list... And what's even more scary is that I would've forgotten to accept McMaster's offer (deadline was that day too) if Celina hadn't called to remind me. IF ONLY SHE'D CALLED BEFORE 4pm! *sigh*

THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULDNT PROCRASTINATE, KIDS!
So friday (day after prom), none of the gr12s are supposed to go to school... but I was supposed to go to hand in my 40 mandatory community hours... but I forgot and went shopping downtown on Queens with my mom instead.. =_= Friday was the supposed deadline... so I'm hoping they'll still accept them on Monday.. or else I won't be able to GRADUATE.
DONT PROCRASTINATE!

LOL, I totally went off topic. BACK TO PROM NAO.
It was okay... Canon's dad drove us (me and Canon) and Canon gave me a corsageee :) Umm.. you can see the corsage in this picture:

corsage

it's not really that clear but trust me, it was REALLY PRETTY~

Here's another photo of Celina and I:

I love my curls in that picture *U*

feeling old, yet young

So I'm 18 now. I don't feel any different.
Growing up doesn't really have its advantages.
All you get is more stress and responsibilities.
I hate it when I do something wrong and someone (usually my mom) says "You're a big girl now. Stop being silly."
I don't want to be a big girl. But at least I don't look my age.
On my birthday, after eating dinner at this yummy Italian restaurant (Mezza Notte), I went to Metro (the nearest convenience store) to buy lottery tickets and the person at the booth said that the machine already closed... even though there were still 2 minutes till 9pm. Then, she added "Well, you look too young to be buying anywayssss". O_O Jeez, lady, you already told me the machine was closed, why do you have to insult me as well? Whatever. I went to another convenience store and bought my tickets there. The lady at THIS store also said I looked too young, but she let it slide, and let me buy it anyway. CONCLUSION: middle aged asian ladies are nicer than 25 year old caucasian wannabes. (no, that was not racist. just speaking from experience.)

I also ate cake that day. A TARO cake. Here are some pictures of the cake and also of dinner that night.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I went to wonderland last saturday with a bunch of friends. It was so much fun! I went on ALMOST EVERY RIDE! I WOULD HAVE if we hadn't run out of time (and if everyone hadn't been so tired =_=). I feel proud to have conquered the Behemoth. It honestly wasn't even that scary. If you just tell yourself not to be scared, and control yourself, you don't feel any scariness at all! Mind over body, that's what that is.

Oh! In french class, we've been studying Le Petit Prince. That book is freaking amazing! It's so profound and funny too! We started watching the musical as well, I can't wait to finish it! Let me post one of my fav songs so far:

That's it, folks. I think this post is way too long. Bye now!
